Panel: Don’t Fear Liquid Cooling – Plan for IT

The data center trend toward liquid-cooled ITE is escalating, driven by chip density and sustainability. Forecast that liquid cooling will become the preferred method by the end of the decade. Key challenges faced by the industry include whether to build around liquid to rack today or design for adaptability to add liquid to rack. The Open Compute Cooling Environments Project is working with the global data center community to develop best practices and guidance to simplify the transition to liquid-cooled ITE. The panel highlights best practices and key steps data center owners are doing to prepare for the future.
