Qais Alsafasfeh received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University, MI, USA, in 2010. He is currently an Engineering Leader with Schneider Electric in Troy, MI, where he serves as the Power System Analysis Technical Domain Leader. He has authored more than 55 refereed journal and conference publications within the power system analysis domain and has contributed to several standards groups within the Industrial Applications Society and the Power and Energy Society. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Dr. Alsafasfeh was an academic, serving as a Professor of Electrical Power Engineering and working as a Power System Consultant in power system planning, design, and operation, including transmission and distribution. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.
