James Monahan is a senior engineer in facilities engineering at Meta, where he leads large global engineering initiatives and works on large-scale engineering problems with infrastructure. In his previous role at Meta, James led the global team providing operational engineering support for Meta’s data centers. Prior to Meta, James was the Director of Mission Critical Engineering at eBay, where he led the design, construction, and commissioning of eBay 39’s datacenter. Prior to eBay, James worked in a variety of data center engineering roles, both on the owner side and as a consultant. James holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic and computer engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
