James Coe is Syskas’s Critical Facilities Director. He has over 30 years of experience in Engineering Operations, Project Management, and Design. His experience is focused on providing consulting, design, reliability assessments, and commissioning for Mission Critical Facilities. He is highly regarded by his many clients including ATT, Bank of America, Chevron, Cisco, Cleveland Clinic, Delta Airlines, Duke Energy, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), General Electric, General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Home Depot, IBM, Marriott, Oracle, PNC Bank, Sprint, United Parcel Service, Verizon Wireless, Visa, Yahoo, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and the US Navy. James leads a growing Practice of Global Engineering Professionals in the design, commissioning, and consulting for a variety of Engineering Projects with a focus on Data Centers. He also manages Syskas Dubai, UAE office operations. James Manages 3 PL (Profit Loss) Statements for the Critical Facilities Design Team, The Facilities Management and Commissioning Team, and the Dubai, UAE office. He manages Engineering Professionals in 16 Syska offices. James led efficiency improvement initiatives at Syska Hennessy Group, including the Engineering Playbooks, the Company QAQC Procedures, and Realigning the Employee Technical Titles. He also helped reorganize the company individual Business Units to a Matrix Organization. When Syskas services included Construction, James led several Successful Design-Build Projects, primarily in the Data Center industry. He was instrumental in the successful spin-offsale of the construction company. James has successfully delivered projects in the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Tanzania, and China. Jamess primary responsibilities are Operations Management, Employee Development, and Recruiting. He also focuses on project delivery, business development and electrical engineering. He is heavily involved in selecting and ranking all employee corporate and technical promotions as well as annual raises and bonuses. He is one of the top executives at this Privately Held, 500 Global Engineering Firm and the third largest shareholder. James is a highly sought-after Conference Keynote Speaker and Expert in the Mission CriticalData Center Industry. James is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in 41 US States, an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), and a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD). James previously served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Engineer and Surface Warfare Officer. James has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.
